Lifecycle Management
Life Cycle Management (LCM) Practices are supplementary to the Nortel Corporate Policies and Procedures regarding Product Design / Life Cycle Management and Solutions Introduction / Life Cycle Management. LCM Practices contained are documented standard practices delineating Product Status Rules during the Production and Retirement phases of the Corporate Life Cycle Management framework. "Product Status" is a term used to define the design status of a product (hardware, software and/or services) during the various stages of its life cycle. Each Product Status-name aligns to a LCM business decision point, and should be used to describe the level of product quality and/or commit to levels of service and support. Deviation from Standard LCM Practice requires pre-approval by LCM Governance Council.
