Content Cleanup Aids in Defined Search Results
Nortel has undertaken a major effort cleaning up content on the Technical Support website. Publication guidelines are
being used to help in standardizing content for Bulletins, Documentation and Software posted on the site. In Phase 1 of
the cleanup, the focus has been on content related to the top 50 products accessed via the web.
During the last two months:
- Titles and descriptions for documents and software have been updated to include the product name and pertinent
information
- Content ID numbers and revision numbers have been reviewed for accuracy
- Content identified as obsolete has been set to offline to reduce the volume of content overall
Phase 2 and subsequent phases, focusing on content related to top products accessed, will continue throughout 2008
providing users with more defined search results.
