The Multiservice Switch 7400 portfolio is finding its place in wireless access networks and enterprise networks delivering mission-critical applications. Wireless operators worldwide continue to focus on the reach of their networks and the reduction of external reoccurring costs that burden profitability. With the new MSS 7460 packaging and introduction of higher density circuit packs, operators can greatly reduce the cost of leasing multiple circuits for backhaul purposes while improving overall network performance and availability. When packaged with the recently enhanced MSA 32 processor, the MSS 7400 portfolio doubles the serving capacity currently available. Additionally, the MSS portfolio improves the OPEX of the wireless network operators by extending control and monitoring capabilities to quickly identify and resolve problems-thus improving the end-user experience and preserving revenue. Similarly, enterprise networks in private and public sectors can take advantage of the fully redundant architecture of the new MSS 7460 without risking any feature/functionality offered in the MSS portfolio-all at a lower cost. Equally important, the MSS 7400 portfolio complies with mission critical operational requirements set forth by Enterprises to meet stringent performance and availability benchmarks. Packaged with recently introduced high-density Ethernet processors, the MSS 7400 portfolio can eliminate the need for duplicate equipment supporting Ethernet termination and IP routing functionality while consolidating voice networking to maximize the return on investment. Taiwan National Police Agency, for example, has selected the MSS 7460 to build their new advanced communications infrastructure for a security information network and private police intranet.
