The Optical Cross Connect DX provides multi-ring interconnection at all SONET/SDH rates and ring topologies including 2F/4F BLSR/MS-SPring and UPSR/SNCP with the added ability to manage bandwidth (SONET/SDH, Ethernet) between rings at the STS-1/VC-4 level or higher. High-density optical interfaces maximize service capacity per square foot of floor space while minimizing power consumption and operational costs.

• Optical Core Switching - Used as a standalone or subtending linear or ring (2 or 4-Fibre) system to the Optical Cross Connect HDX/HDXc platforms the product provides an integrated solution for the multiplexing of lower order circuits (such as OC-3/STM-1), or for consolidation of multiple subtending collectors.
• Direct DWDM Support - The Optical Cross Connect DX works seamlessly with the Optical Long Haul 1600 for cost-effective DWDM transport, eliminating unnecessary wavelength adaptation.
