Breaking News from the Carrier Multimedia Communications Users Group Kickoff Meeting The newly created Packet Voice and Multimedia Communications Users Group had its kickoff meeting on Monday, September 29, at Carrier Inform 2003. The event was a great success - we had 65 attendees from approximately 30 companies; almost half of the participants traveled from regions outside North America to join us. Participants enjoyed presentations from Sprint and Nortel Networks and then broke into working groups to discuss specific issues concerning the following topics: Architecture, Engineering/Operations, Interoperability and Revenue Generating Services. These presentations and the priorities developed in the breakout sessions are posted in the File Exchange area of the Packet Voice & Multimedia website. Please be sure to join the group so you can take advantage of the information exchange! Look for more news and content from the group in the near future!
