Meeting the 2006 European Union Environmental Directives requires intensive supply chain co-ordination. Nortel, together with our suppliers and manufacturing partners are implementing compliance activities at a fast pace. Nortel's compliance activities will cover both the RoHS directive (restriction of hazardous substances) and the WEEE directive (waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) directives as outlined in the EU Environmental Directives.
