Overview
There is virtually no enterprise in the world that doesn't know HP (Hewlett-Packard) and invest in its products and services. With a worldwide reputation for innovation and quality, HP offers unparalleled leadership providing enterprise IT solutions in hardware, software, and services. When combined with their position as a leading provider of Microsoft applications and infrastructure, HP's global presence and broad capabilities makes them an ideal partner for Nortel as customers increasingly require corporate-wide, complete systems integration services for both regional and global deployment.

SIMPLIFYING THE CONVERGENCE OF COMMUNICATION
The partnership between Nortel and HP joins two market leaders to address one common challenge - how to align Information Technology (IT) and Communications with business objectives to create strategic advantage for enterprises. HP and Nortel have worked together for more than 25 years to develop and sell complimentary solutions for our mutual customers. HP is one of Nortel's leading System Integrator Partners and is able to sell and deliver Nortel's entire portfolio.

Nortel focuses on communications and business needs for collaboration, information access and security. HP approaches the Nortel partnership from an IT perspective, focusing first on the design of computing/storage, messaging, data access, end-user devices and network infrastructure required for a modern foundation for IT-Communications. Together, HP and Nortel offer comprehensive solutions for IT-Communications that are cost-effective and simple to implement and manage.

HP's ability to sell Nortel solutions builds on HP's dominant Microsoft practice, which includes the largest installed base of MS Exchange enterprises, with over 16 million Exchange 2000/2003 seats. In addition, with 45% of all Microsoft Exchange implementations globally, HP is far and away the leading integrator of Microsoft solutions. Together, the Nortel-HP partnership provides a powerful Unified Communications offering that leverages Microsoft applications to reduce operating costs, increases employee productivity, improves customer service, and transforms enterprise communications.
