The USB Analog Terminal Adapter (ATA) is designed specifically for the Nortel IP Softphone 2050 (Rls 2, Build 254), to enable use of a standard analog telephone, cordless telephone, fax machine or analog trunk port, in a secure enterprise class IP environment. Where the Softphone is connected to a BCM or CS1000 call server, the USB ATA provides ring voltage and caller ID for inbound calls to the Softphone, with outbound calls easily made with DTMF dialing. The USB ATA is powered by the host PC's USB port, and conforms to all Windows specifications for easy plug and play installation.
