Registered Product configuration and testing notes for iMG 616, iMG 634, iMG 646 by Allied Telesis Multimedia with Communication Server 2000
The purpose of this Registered Test Event is to validate very basic interoperability between the Allied Telesis iMG646MOD and the Nortel Communication Server 2000 (CS 2000) using the SIP protocol. Successful testing as outlined in this document will result in a Registered status for the iMG646MOD.
All test cases in this test plan are to be executed remotely by the customer using remote endpoints. Testing includes basic communication and basic call functionality between all products. Since testing is only performed with Generally Available (GA) products, it is assumed that each products feature set has been tested and thus only test scenarios pertinent to interoperability are exercised as part of this testing. System and network integration of the products based on their individual network deployment requirements is the Service Providers responsibility.
Overall, Registered testing is a suite of test cases chosen to test basic interoperability between a Nortel communications platform and a Third Party SIP Line (3PSL) with a focus on the protocol used between the two. The test cases are chosen to validate the proper use of the protocol in accordance with Nortels Interop Specifications. Registered testing does not include traffic, redundancy, or other carrier grade tests, nor does Registered testing include QoS tests.
The feature testing included in this test plan is comprised of features that involve both the CS 2000 and the 3PSL. For instance, hold and transfer require processing by both the CS 2000 and the 3PSL. Examples of features that are not included in this test plan are CS 2000 Translation features because the 3PSL does not have any knowledge of whether or not a translation feature is being used and behaves the same regardless.
