Registered Product configuration and testing notes for ON234x Series by Occam Networks with Communication Server 2000

The test effort verified a basic level of interoperability between the Occam Networks ON23432 and ON2343 System products and Nortel’s Communication Server 2000 (CS 2000) Release (I)SN09U. This successful testing establishes the Occam Networks ON234x Series products as a Nortel registered product for the release(s) tested. Testing included basic communication and basic call functionality between the devices. It is the service provider’s responsibility to perform appropriate system and network integration of the Occam Networks ON2342 and ON2343 with the CS 2000 based on their network deployment requirements.

Basic Conferencing (3-way calling)
Basic Call Waiting (Multiple Call Support)

Additional Testcases Requested by Vendor:
Call Forward Activation/Deactivtion by 3PSL
Call Forward Activation and Programming by 3PSL

Limitations, Restrictions and Other Observations:
- Redundancy, carrier grade, and traffic or robustness scenarios were not tested as these fall outside of basic
interop testing.
- Voice quality will only be checked through audible means between parties.
- Nortel PC client briefly reporting ICMP errors when starting to send RTP stream to OCCAM client but did not
affect call. Not gating for registered status.
- During Three-Way call test, it is expected that both lines A and B will hear ringback. It was observed that
ringback did not occur on lineB as expected but the call functions as expected in all other aspects. This does
not affect call scenario nor does it affect registered status.
