Compatible Product configuration and testing notes for Intuition Answer by Datapulse with Communication Server 2000


The test effort verified a basic level of interoperability between the Datapulse Intuition Answer and Nortel’s Communication Server 2000 product release SN10. This successful testing establishes the Datapulse Intuition Answer here as a Nortel compatible product for the release(s) tested. Testing included basic communication and basic call functionality, and some feature testing between the between the devices. It is the service provider’s responsibility to perform appropriate system and network integration of the Datapulse Intuition Answer with the Communication Server 2000 based on their network deployment requirements.

Limitations, Restrictions and Other Observations:

Datapulse Intuition Answer does not:
- currently play the tone into the earpiece when RFC2833 events are received (although it does support RFC2833),
- currently display the Name or Number of the waiting party while the party is in queue (however, the Name or Number, if delivered, is displayed when the party is taken off the queue),
- support FAX calls (neither in-band nor out-of-band),
- support modem calls,
- support initiating of conference (however, the Intuition Answer can be a part of a conference),
- support Message Waiting indication,
- support G.729 codec,
- have the capability to disable out-of-band DTMF
- include "priority: emergency" and "priority-resource: emrg.0" headers in the INVITE for emergency calls.
