Compatible Product configuration and testing notes for WAVE by Twisted Pair Solutions with IP Phone 1150E
Testing was conducted using a Nortel IP Phone 1150E Version 3 and CS 1000 release 5.5.
Testing Notes:
1. When an IP Phone1150E is monitoring a WAVE Channel for audio and a voice call arrives and is answered, switching between the WAVE media and Nortel IP phone application by pressing the "Expand" button will cause no media stream or no speech path respectively. After switching from Wave to the Nortel phone menu using the "Expand" button, the user must press the un-hold button in order to have a two way speech path on a voice call. Likewise, to resume listening to the Wave media after switching from the Nortel phone to the Wave menu by pressing the "Expand" button, the user must press the "Talk" soft key on the Wave menu. Expected operation when the user presses the "Expand" button is a two way speech path on the regular phone call, and a media stream on the Wave audio channel without any further required user action. This may be a limitation of the Nortel IP Phone1150E firmware.
2. When an IP Phone 1150E is monitoring a WAVE Channel for audio and a voice call arrives and is answered, switching between the WAVE media and the Nortel IP phone application by using the "Expand" button will cause the 1150E set to malfunction. If the "In-Call" button is pressed in this situation, the IP Phone 1150E enters a state in which pressing the "Expand" button will not trigger a switch from the phone call back to the WAVE Nortel IP Phone application. As well, in some cases the phone may enter a state in which initiating or answering calls does not always work. Once the phone enters this state, the phone must be restarted to return to a normal working state. Expected operation when the "In-Calls" button is pressed is the presentation of ACD calls to the user. Pressing the button again should cause the user to exit the ACD call and resume normal operation. This may be a limitation of the Nortel IP Phone1150E firmware.
