Compatible Product configuration and testing notes for Total Access 900/900e Series with Communication Server 2000
The test effort verified a basic level of interoperability between the Adtran Total Access 900/900e Series IP Business Gateways product release A.01.02.00 and Nortels Communication Server 2000 (CS 2000) Release SN10 using the MGCP protocol. This successful testing establishes the Adtran Total Access 900/900e Series IP Business Gateways product release A.01.02.00 as a Nortel Compatible product for the release(s) tested. This testing was a re-certification of the Adtran product, release version A.01.02.00. Testing included basic communication and basic call functionality between the devices. It is the service providers responsibility to perform appropriate system and network integration of the Adtran Total Access 900/900e Series IP Business Gateways product release A.01.02.00 with the CS 2000 based on their network deployment requirements.
Compatible testing is a suite of test cases chosen to test basic interoperability between a Nortel communications platform and a Third Party device with a focus on the protocol messaging used between the two. The test cases are chosen to validate the proper use of the protocol in accordance with Nortels Interoperability Specifications.

Additional Test Cases Requested by Vendor:- None
Not Executed Test Case Notes:- Redundancy, carrier grade, and traffic or robustness scenarios were not tested as these fall outside the bounds of basic Interoperability testing.
- Voice quality will only be checked through audible means between parties.
- Test cases that were deemed N/A (not applicable) were so because of the following; Adtran device not supporting upspeed to G711, T38 manipulation, unable to disable call transfer, 6wc not supported and the use of SIP analog phones.
Limitations, Restrictions and Other Observations:3PGW response to CRCX (with LCO only) violates Section 7.4.4.4 of the SN10 Interoperability Specifications which states as follows: The outgoing SDP MUST list the supported codecs and other encodings in the same order as they are presented in the LCO/underspecified local descriptor.
The Adtran TA916e MGCP Gateway passed SN10 re-certification with exception. In a future release (target June08), the gateway must list the supported codes in the same order as they are presented in the CRCS with LCO only.
