Compatible Product configuration and testing notes for QSD Contact Center by Smart Telecom with Communication Server 2000


The test effort verified a basic level of interoperability between the Smart Telecom QSD and Nortel’s CS 2000 product release SN09U. This successful testing establishes the Smart Telecom QSD here as a Nortel compatible product for the release(s) tested. Testing included basic ACD Supervisor query/response functionality the between the devices. It is the service provider’s responsibility to perform appropriate system and network integration of the Smart Telecom QSD product with the CS 2000 based on their network deployment requirements.

Test areas covered for certification

Basic Communication
- initialize, verify and terminate communications between QSD and the CS 2000.

Information Transfer and Display
- verify the Virtual Wallboard display of real-time ACD statistics and alarms on the desktop of the agent workstation
- verify both serial and TCP/IP communications between the QSD Supervisor workstation and the QSD LED Wallboards.
- verify the queue specific text message broadcasts generated from the QSD Supervisor application.

Performance Reports from QSD Historical Reports application.
- verify the Agent Performance Reports
- verify the Queue Performance Reports
- verify the Agent Summary Reports
- verify the Alarm Threshold Reports


Limitations, Restrictions and Other Observations:
- Smart Telecom QSD works on a TDM line supporting ACD Supervisor communication.
- The ACD Supervisor line used for the QSD product cannot be used for voice communications.
- The interface for this product is the same on both CS 2000 and DMS-100
