Compatible Product configuration and testing notes for MALC Access Concentrator / SLMS with DMS-10


The test effort verified a basic level of interoperability between the Zhone MALC Broadband Loop Carrier product release 1.13.2.2 and Nortel’s DMS-10 product release 602.20. This successful testing establishes the Zhone MALC Broadband Loop Carrier as a Nortel compatible product for the release(s) tested. Testing included basic communication and basic call functionality, and some feature testing between the between the devices. It is the service provider’s responsibility to perform appropriate system and network integration of the Zhone MALC Broadband Loop Carrier product with the DMS-10 based on their network deployment requirements.

- Redundancy, carrier grade, and traffic or robustness scenarios were not tested as these fall outside of basic
interop testing.
- Voice quality was only checked through audible means between parties.
