Compatible Product configuration and testing notes for Accolade WCS by Convergin, Inc. with Communication Server 2000


Note: the WCS provides an interface to CS2000 services as an application for Wireless    users.    Convergin provided the Wireless side of the application for this event. Nortel    reviewed only the    CS2000 interface results.

The test effort verified a basic level of interoperability between the Convergin WCS and the Nortel CS2000 SN09U release. This successful testing establishes the Convergin WCS as a Nortel compatible product for the release(s) tested. Testing included basic communication and basic call functionality, and some feature testing between the devices. It is the service provider’s responsibility to perform the appropriate system and network integration of the Convergin WCS with the CS2000 based on their network deployment requirements.

Nortel Networks testing included:
>>> Basic Calls between:
- Mobile lines with a CS2K presence via the WCS
- SIP soft clients with a CS2K presence via the WCS
- CS2K SIP soft clients
- Various CS2K endpoints (Legacy lines, ISUP Trunks, MGCP lines, H.323 lines)

>>> Features on Nortel’s Web Based Personal Agent
- Click-to-Call
- Call Screening
- Call Forwarding
- Simultaneous Ringing
- Sequential Ringing

>>> Instant Messaging between Mobile lines and SIP clients

>>> Use of Vertical Service Codes

Nortel did not test/Test Exclusions:
- CS2K Features (other than Personal Agent Features)
- Operator/E911 Services
- Redundancy, carrier grade, traffic or robustness
- Voice Quality

Observations:
The WCS Application provides a user with two identities (Wireless and Centrex) that both need to be considered for CLID services within the WCS application space.
