Compatible Product configuration and testing notes for M6 by GENBAND Inc. with Communication Server 2000

The test effort verified a basic level of interoperability between the GenBand M6 (formerly the Tekelec - T6000 v 5.6.2), and Nortel’s Communication Server 2000 (CS 2000) Release SN09. This successful testing establishes the M6v 5.6.2 as a Nortel compatible product for the releases tested. Testing included basic communication and basic call functionality between the devices. It is the service provider’s responsibility to perform appropriate system and network integration of the GenBand M6 with the CS 2000 based on their network deployment requirements.

Observations:

> Unless otherwise specified, PRACK enabled, OPTIONS for heartbeat disabled, and
E.164 format disabled (no international long distance, North American 10 digit
dialplan NPA-NXX) for all tests.
> Nortel does not support switching from remote-to-local ring back.
> The test configuration did not support G.711 A law.
> Multiple M-lines in SDP are not supported by the M6. To accommodate the M6"multiple m-lines" limitation, the CS 2000 configuration needed to disable T.38 or all calls would fail. Similarly, SIP devices calling to the GenBand product through the CS 2000 needed to disable Video.
