Compatible Product configuration and testing notes for U10C021 EMTA by Ambit Microsystems Inc. with Communication Server 2000


The test effort verified a basic level of interoperability between the Ambit Microsystems - U10C021 EMTA Release 4.61.2003 and Nortel’s Communication Server 2000 (CS 2000) Release (I)SN09U. This successful testing establishes the Ambit Microsystems - U10C021 EMTA as a Nortel compatible product for the releases tested. Testing included basic communication and basic call functionality between the devices. It is the service provider’s responsibility to perform appropriate system and network integration of the Ambit Microsystems U10C021 EMTA with the CS 2000 based on their network deployment requirements.

Test Exclusions:
-Redundancy, carrier grade, and traffic or robustness scenarios were not tested ast hese fall outside of basic interop testing.
-Voice quality was only checked through audible means between parties.
-RFC2833 is not a supported codec in Nortel (I)SN09 Release Cable Solution. Therefore testcases involving RFC2833 DTMF are not executed.
-G729 permutations are not supported in Nortel (I)SN09 Release Cable Solution. Therefore testcases involving this codec are not executed.
-Comfort Noise is not a supported codec in Nortel (I)SN09 Release Cable Solution. Therefore testcases involving comfort noise are not executed.
