Compatible Product configuration and testing notes for ONT1000 by Motorola with Communication Server 2000

The test effort verified a basic level of interoperability between the Motorola - ONT1000M AND ONT1000V r2.1.3, and Nortel’s Communication Server 2000 (CS 2000) Release SN09FF. This successful testing establishes the Motorola - ONT1000M AND ONT1000V r2.1.3 as a Nortel compatible product for the releases tested. Testing included basic communication and basic call functionality between the devices. It is the service provider’s responsibility to perform appropriate system and network integration of the Motorola ONT1000M AND ONT1000V with the CS 2000 based on their network deployment requirements.

Nortel testing included:

Interoperability testing of SIP ONTs with CS 2000

Open Issues:

-CWT Caller ID Display - display incorrect when From header contains "anonymous".To be fixed in next Motorola release under CR39325.
-Operator Ringback - While caller is still offhook, ONT line does not hear Receiver Off Hook tone when the operator invokes ringback and speech path is subsequently lost (OP trunks only). Nortel CR Q01438270 opened.
-Permanent Hold - After placing a call on hold and then making another call to party C,user cannot reconnect to the held party (by flashing and dialing the access code) if party C hangs up before the controller flashes. Controller is able to hang up, receive ringing, and connect with the held party. To be fixed in next Motorola release under CR39907.
-Directed Call Pickup with Barge-In - The alert-info header is missing in the INVITE. Barge in tone is not heard. Motorola CR41051 open to track this issue.
-Operator Ringback - While caller is still offhook, CS 2000 does not reconnect Operator trunk and ONT line after playing Receiver Off Hook tone (OP trunks only, not E911 trunks). Nortel CR Q01447700 opened to track this issue.
