Compatible Product configuration and testing notes for ARRIS Touchstone Telephony Modem TM508 &TM512 by ARRIS International with Communication Server 2000


The test effort verified a basic level of interoperability between the Arris. - TM512 and TM508 eMTA Release TS040644, and Nortel’s Communication Server 2000 (CS 2000) Release SN09U. This successful testing establishes the Arris. - TM512 and TM508 eMTA as a Nortel Compatible product for SN09 and SN09U. Testing included basic communication and basic call functionality between the devices. It is the service provider’s responsibility to perform appropriate system and network integration of the Arris. TM512 and TM508 eMTA with the CS 2000 based on their network deployment requirements.

Test Exclusions:

Redundancy, carrier grade, and traffic or robustness scenarios were not tested as these fall outside of basic interop testing.
Voice quality was only checked through audible means between parties.

Limitations, Restrictions and Other Observations:

ARRIS does not currently support G729 on the ML units. As a result, all cases involving G729 have been marked as not applicable.
