Compatible Product configuration and testing notes for AMN1220 GPON System by Hitachi Telecom USA with Communication Server 2000


The test effort verified a basic level of interoperability between the Hitachi AMN1220 GPON System Release N1.334 and Nortel’s Communication Server 2000 (CS 2000) Release SN09U. This successful testing establishes the Hitachi AMN1220 GPON System as a Nortel compatible product for the release tested. Testing included basic communication and basic call functionality between the devices. . It is the service provider’s responsibility to perform appropriate system and network integration of the Hitachi AMN1220 ONT with the CS 2000 based on their network deployment requirements.

Nortel did not test:

-   Redundancy, carrier grade, traffic or robustness scenarios
-   Voice quality was only checked through audible means between partie

Observations/Limitations/Exclusions:

-   Hitachi ONT does not support calls with slow start Invites. As a result calls from H.323 gateways are not supported.

-   International Dialing was not tested due to lab restrictions.

-   Hitachi ONT was not tested with calls originating from a PC Client.

-   Hitachi ONT does not support REFER messages originating from a PC Client or i2004 client.

-   Hitachi only supports Conferencing with three active voice sessions.
