Compatibility with Business Communications Manager is dependent on interface with user’s Nortel IP Softphone 2050 Rel. 2.0 Maintenance Release 254 or later.

Testing with BCM 200/400 was conducted using Nortel IP Softphone 2050 Rel. 2.0 Maintenance Release 255.

The following features were tested:

    - Basic Call Features : Caller ID, DTMF (Voicemail interaction)
    - Split Control : Call Hold, Message Retrieval, Transfer, Conference
    - Peripheral Testing : FAX, Modem, External Lamp, TTY, Doorphone

The tests were performed on the following Nortel platform:

    - Nortel Business Communications Manager (BCM) 200/400, Release 4.0

FAX support
    - T.38 fax is not supported in cases where virtual trunks (SIP or H.323) are used.
    - FAX calls using the USB Analog Terminal Adaptor with Nortel IP Softphone 2050 Rel. 2.0 Maintenance Release 255
      running on a VISTA operating system do not work due to outstanding Nortel issue Q01819199.
