Compatible Product configuration and testing notes for Vood product family by Tilgin (f/k/a i3 micro technology ab) with Application Server 5200 (fka MCS 5200)


The test effort verified a basic level of interoperability between the Tilgin Vood 322, Release 322_S_1_2_0_0, and the Nortel Application Server 5200 (fka MCS 5200), Release 3.0. This successful testing establishes the Tilgin Vood 322 as a Nortel compatible product for the releases tested. Tilgin asserts that the Vood 300 and 400 product family utilizes the same VoIP technology and should behave similarly. Testing included basic communication and basic call functionality between the devices. It is the service provider’s responsibility to perform appropriate system and network integration of the iTilgin Vood 322 with the Application Server 5200 based on their network deployment requirements.

Observations:

1.   Testing uncovered a voice quality issue between Tilgin and the Application Server 5200 multi-media PC client. This certificate of compatibility does not cover scenarios where the Nortel Application Server 5200 Multi-media PC client is used. Tilgin technology will provide a fix to this issue in a subsequent Vood software release that was not tested as part of this interoperability test event.

2.   Testing uncovered an issue where the call does not clear when the MCS PCC hangs up is due an issue with the Application Server 5200. Nortel will provide a fix to this issue in a subsequent Application Server 5200 release.

3.   Testing uncovered an issue where in some cases it was impossible to place the call between Application Server 5200 PC client and Tilgin on hold. This problem is related to the call clean-up issue mentioned above.
