Compatible Product configuration and testing notes for DV315 Boston by Pace Micro Technology plc with Communication Server 2000


The test effort verified a basic level of interoperability between the Pace DV315, release 1.0 and the Nortel Communication Server 2000 (CS 2000), SN08. This successful testing establishes the Pace DV315 MTA as a Nortel compatible product for the releases tested. Testing included basic communication and basic call functionality between the devices. It is the service provider’s responsibility to perform appropriate system and network integration of the Pace DV315 MTA and with the CS 2000 based on their network deployment requirements.

Nortel testing included:

>Basic GW to CS 2000 communication using NCS protocol
o   MTA provisioning and registration with Nortel CS 2000
o   MTA response to Audits.
o   MTA recovery after IP outage
o   MTA recovery after power outage
o   Verification of registration NCS protocol

>   Pace DV315 line MTA connection to announcement server (AMS)
o   Three way conferencing with DV315 line MTA utilizing AMS.
o   DV315 line MTA connection to AMS for recorded announcements.
o   SDP negotiation between DV315 MTA endpoints.
o   LCO parameter handling, remote SDP handling.
o   SDP negotiation validation specific to SN08 Interop Specification associated with the above testcases.
o   RTP Packet Evaluation
o   RTP packets analyzed to ensure proper construction as requested by CS 2000

o   Includes CS 2000-CMTS test cases as well as CS2000-MTA test cases
o Security

Not tested by Nortel:

o   Voice quality (no MOS/PSQM validation).
o   Redundancy/Carrier Grade Maintenance
o   General NCS protocol conformance outside that which is specific to CS 2000

The Developer Product listed is verified in a laboratory environment as compatible with the indicated Nortel Product for a term of two (2) calendar years from the date the Compatibility Test Audit was successfully completed as indicated above, until the Developer issues a new version of such Developer Product that incorporates new features or functionality or until such time as Nortel issues a new version of such Nortel Product that incorporates new features or functionality, whichever occurs first.
