Compatible Product configuration and testing notes for Duet 9002 by comMATCH LTD aka Telrad with Communication Server 2000
The test effort verified a basic level of interoperability between the COMMATCH Duet9002, release AA21 and the Nortel Communication Server 2000, (CS 2000) ISN08. This successful testing establishes the COMMATCH Duet9002 as a Nortel compatible product for the releases tested. Testing included basic communication and basic call functionality between the devices. It is the service providers responsibility to perform appropriate system and network integration of the COMMATCH Duet9002 with the CS 2000 based on their network deployment requirements.
Nortel testing included:- Basic GW to CS 2000 communication using TGCP protocol:
- Gateway provisioning and registration with Nortel CS 2000
- Gateway response to Audits.
- Basic Recovery of GW After Outages:
- Gateway recovery after IP outage
- Gateway recovery after power outage
- Basic L Parm Acceptance and SDP Negotiation: IP Trunk to IP Line / IP Line to IP Trunk / IP Trunk to IP Trunk (intergateway) / IP - Trunk to IP Trunk (intragateway)
- Call to idle line with answer
- Call to idle trunk with answer
- Call to idle line with no answer
- Call to idle trunk with no answer
- Call to idle line with ringing timeout
- Call to busy line with busy timeout
- Call to busy trunk with busy timeout
- Long Duration Call (12 Hours)
- RTP Analysis
- Changes in packetization time (CS 2000 only supports ptimes of 10 and 20 msec)
- Feature Tests
- Call Forwarding through GW
- Call Conferencing
- Call to Announcement
- Call to Voice Mail System
- Voice Band Data
- Fax Call
- H.323 Interworking
- DTMF Relay (non RFC2833)
- COT Tests / T100 Tone Tests
Note: All tests were executed over E1 ISUP on ISN08. Three types of E1 ISUP variants were tested against in this IOT: HONG KONG, BASE, and RUSSIA
Nortel did not test:- G.729
- RFC2833
- T.38 fax (voice band data fax will be used instead)
- Comfort Noise (AVP 13)
- Traffic, robustness, redundancy, carrier grade testing except for documented fault scenarios
- Voice quality (only by ear).
- Security
- General TGCP protocol conformance outside that which is specific to SN08/ISN08
Observations:- During registration, The Duet9K does not allow "_" characters in domain name but will accept "_"s in hostname.
- During a customer gateway recovery after an E1 carrier outage, the CRC mode of the E1 links has to match the CRC mode of the carriers on the PSTN side or the Duet9K will not be able to sync up states with an E1 cable pull and re-insertion. COMMATCH has an enhancement for this issue to bring CRC mode provisioning changes up to the operator level for this item, but the fix is found in a later software release not available or tested during this interoperability event.
