Compatible Product configuration and testing notes for Digeo Moxi Telephony Client by Vulcan Research with Application Server 5200 (fka MCS 5200)


The test effort verified a basic level of interoperability between the Digeo Moxi Media Telephony Client, Release 4.0, and Nortel’s Application Server 5200 (fka MCS 5200), Release 3.0. The Digeo Moxi Media Telephony Client was running on a Motorola BMC 9000 series set top box for this test event. This successful testing establishes the Digeo Moxi Media Telephony Client as a Nortel compatible product for the releases tested. Testing included basic communication and basic call functionality between the devices. It is the service provider’s responsibility to perform appropriate system and network integration of the Digeo Moxi Media Telephony Client with the Application Server 5200 based on their network deployment requirements.

Nortel testing included:

- Basic video call (The calls will be answered by another client, but the Digeo Moxi Media Telephony Client will be in the call path.)
- Basic audio call (The calls will be answered by another client, but the Digeo Moxi Media Telephony Client will be in the call path.)
- Picture caller ID (The calls will be answered by another client, but the Digeo Moxi Media Telephony Client will be in the call path.)
- Invoking collaboration (The calls will be answered by another client, but the Digeo Moxi Media Telephony Client will be in the call path.)
- Invoking share (The calls will be answered by another client, but the Digeo Moxi Media Telephony Client will be in the call path.)
-    Invoking web push (The calls will be answered by another client, but the Digeo Moxi Media Telephony Client will be in the call path.)
- Rejecting incoming instant message (The calls will be answered by another client, but the Digeo Moxi Media Telephony Client will be in the call path.)
- Rejecting or ignoring incoming presence notification
- Voicemail (The calls will be answered by another client, but the Digeo Moxi Media Telephony Client will be in the call path. This is testing the MWI capabilities of the Digeo device)
- Client firewall traversal (The calls will be answered by another client, but the Digeo Moxi Media Telephony Client will be in the call path.)

Nortel will not test:

- QoS and SMS interworking

The Developer Product listed is verified in a laboratory environment as compatible with the indicated Nortel Product for a term of two (2) calendar years from the date the Compatibility Test Audit was successfully completed as indicated above, until the Developer issues a new version of such Developer Product that incorporates new features or functionality or until such time as Nortel issues a new version of such Nortel Product that incorporates new features or functionality, whichever occurs first.
