Compatible Product configuration and testing notes for ServiceController 3100 by SS8 Networks with Application Server 5200 (fka MCS 5200)


The test effort verified a basic level of interoperability between the SS8 Networks ServiceController 3100 Voice Mail Server, Release 3.1.1, and Nortel’s Application Server 5200 (fka MCS 5200), Release 3.0. This successful testing establishes the SS8 SC3100 as a Nortel compatible product for the releases tested. Testing included basic communication and basic call functionality between the devices. It is the service provider’s responsibility to perform appropriate system and network integration of the SS8 SC3100 with the Application Server 5200 based on their network deployment requirements.

Observations:

1. Since the current SC3100 applications do not require the use of the SIP REFER message, the SC3100 does not support SIP REFER.

2. Currently, the SC3100 does not support sending the SIP INFO message.
