Compatible Product configuration and testing notes for SipTone III Ethernet Phone by ipDialog, Inc. with Communication Server 1000 E/S/M

The ipDialog SIP phones are provisioned as a SIP user on the Network Redirect Server (NRS) only; they are not provisioned as IP lines. Refer to IP Peer Networking Installation and Configuration NTP. Note also the following feature limitations:

  • Any calls to/from ipDialog sets to/from Communication Server 1000 IP phones (200x), digital, and analog sets will require one SIP trunk on the call server. Thus, one SIP trunk ISM is required for every active ipDialog call.

  • MCDN features are not supported on ipDialog sets.

  • Survivable mode is not supported on ipDialog sets for CS 1000 Branch Office or Survivable Remote Gateway (SRG) applications.

  • ipDialog sets can not be used as a Symposium Call Center agent set.

  • VLAN ID must be set to 0 on 200x IP sets.

  • Call forward to voice messaging service DN is not possible when the ipDialog SIP Phone is in the following states:
  • Do-Not-Disturb enabled

  • Power-off

  • Physically unplugged from the network

  • The ipDialog phone’s advanced configuration web page should have "DTMF receive capability" set to INFO.

  • ipDialog SIP phone cannot switch over to Alternate and Failsafe NRS server when Primary NRS server is out of service.

  • Redirect/tandem calls via three or more NRS server collaboration is not supported.
