Compatible Product configuration and testing notes for SIPstream Firmware, MIBflex Firmware, Arcturus-Renesas SH Reference Platform by Arcturus Networks Inc. with Application Server 5200 (fka MCS 5200)


The test effort verified a basic level of interoperability between the Arcturus SIPstream and MIBflex Firmware, release 1.0.1, running on the Arcturus Renesas SH Reference Platform, with Application Server 5200 (fka MCS 5200) , release 3.0. This successful testing establishes the Arcturus SIPstream and MIBflex Firmware as a Nortel compatible product for the releases tested. Testing included basic communication and basic call functionality between the devices. It is the service provider’s responsibility to perform appropriate system and network integration of the products containing the Arcturus SIPstream and MIBflex Firmware and with the MCS 5200 based on their network deployment requirements.

Observations:
- 4106 doesn’t support registration of two instances of the same SIP client on the same device
- 4106 doesn’t support multiple users being logged into the device concurrently.
- 4106 doesn’t support SIP INFO for sending DTMF tones.
- 4106 support maximum of two concurrent calls per line
- Calls from the PSTN to a 4106 SIP client via the MG3200 PRI gateway are not available for TAG headers of 64 bytes and longer. This MG32000 limitation will be addressed in MCS 3.0.21.
