The MCS Open Client Strategy is a ground-breaking initiative by Nortel to enable mass deployment of SIP-based multimedia services for enterprise & consumer markets. Nortel is launching this initiative by making available a documentation suite to vendors seeking to develop SIP-enabled products that are compatible with the Nortel Multimedia Communication Server 5100 (MCS 5100) or Application Server 5200 (fka MCS 5200).

Nortel is pleased to provide to approved 3rd party product developers access to a documentation suite and a no charge license to 3rd party product developers. The document suite provides guidelines and recommendations for those developing products that will need to interoperate with the MCS 5100 and/or Application Server 5200.

Those wishing to obtain the MCS OCS Documentation Suite may select one of two options:

Documentation Only If you only wish to download the MCS OCS Documentation for review or development and you have no need for technical or Q/A support, you may complete a simple MCS OCS request form. Upon approval as an MCS OCS participant, and subsequent signature of the MCS OCS license agreement, you will receive all necessary information for accessing and downloading the specifications from the MCS OCS Documentation download website.

Documentation and Support If you wish to download the MCS OCS Documentation Suite and also desire access to fee-based technical / Q&A support, lab access and related services to support the development of compatible MCS 5100 / Application Server 5200 third party products, you may choose to apply for membership to the Nortel Developer Program. To join the Developer Program and apply for the MCS OCS Documentation, please complete our Open Developer Enrollment Form as well as the MCS OCS request form.
