List of Frequently Asked Questions about Membership in the Enterprise VoIP and Multimedia Segment Developer Program:
Who can join the Developer Program?
The Nortel Developer Program welcomes companies that develop complementary solutions, existing or planned,
which connect to one or more Nortel systems through those
interfaces supported through the program. The Developer
Program welcomes commercial companies seeking to create products for sale to mutual Nortel customers, as well as
existing Nortel customers seeking to develop customized applications and/or integrations for their own
internal use.
How do I join?
All members join the Developer Program at the level of Open Developer: Our enrollment process is
quick and easy, with application on-line using our
Open Developer Enrollment form. After you have submitted your application to the Developer Program office,
your application will be reviewed by Nortel. Upon review (which may take up to 10 business days) and approval, each
company must sign and return the Developer Program Open Developer Terms and Conditions, along with a credit
card authorization form covering the membership fee. Upon activation, each member will receive an email confirmation
of acceptance along with additional program details and documentation. Included in this communication will be an
assigned User ID and Password for accessing the Members Center section of the Developer Program website.
Will I have to sign a new Terms and Conditions document every year?
The T&C agreement your company signs for Membership will remain in effect throughout your company's membership,
unless there are Developer Program changes requiring a re-signing. It is automatically renewable.
Are there different levels of program membership?
There are two levels of membership for which you can apply:
Open Developer
and
Developer Partner. All members must first join at the Open Developer level.

What can I expect from the Developer Program when I become an Open
Developer?
The Developer Program will provide you with access to fee-based
Software Developer Kits
and Technical Support; there may be additional licensing fees or hardware costs associated with toolkits or
interface specifications.
Some toolkits are bundled with a limited amount of technical support; additional technical support is purchased in
hourly increments.
At this level (Open Developer), members may also pursue Compatibilty Testing for one or more products -- such testing is a primary
prerequisite for higher levels of recognition within the program, including the potential to become a
