The learning materials have been developed based on industry requirements and in conjunction with subject matter experts from both the research and development and commercial sectors. These downloadable PDF files are free-of-charge to those who sign the Nortel Technology Solutions Academy license agreement and are accepted into the program. The course material provides 80-100 hours of learning and may be used as a standalone course or integrated into your existing courseware.

By participating in this program, Nortel is offering schools the opportunity to purchase VoIP lab equipment so your students can gain hands-on experience. The equipment includes our Nortel Business Communications Manager (BCM) 50. The lab is offered to participating schools at a substantially reduced price and includes eLearning materials to help you set-up the product. 25-30 hours of lab exercises are also included so that students can further develop their skills.

Professional certification is the means by which the industry validates competence. It also provides a useful complement to academic achievement. As a participating school in the Nortel Technology Solutions Academy program, you'll have the opportunity to offer students the option of taking Nortel Certification exams in the classroom or at any Prometric testing center across the globe.

The Nortel Technology Solutions Academy provides a unique opportunity for students to study industry generated course materials and gain professional industry recognized certification from Nortel. In addition, this program offers students the opportunity to challenge industry recognized certification exams. Certification is the way that the IT sector validates competence. Completing the academic work and becoming Nortel certified will make you more attractive to potential employers. You can challenge the exams at any Prometric centre throughout the world, or, if your school has elected to provide Nortel Internet Based Testing (IBT), you can take the exams in the classroom.
