Nortel has a long standing commitment of investing in education excellence and focuses its global community relations efforts on the use of technology to inspire learning and enable
opportunity in the digital age. Nortel embraces the many aspects of Corporate Citizenship in all of its endeavors, aiming to create a business in which all stakeholders can be proud
of in their association with the company.
The University Relations team is dedicated to having a positive impact on education excellence and community citizenship, especially within our universities and colleges. We
provide sponsorship to deserving groups and committees that host events or conferences which are strongly aligned to our business values and needs.
In the past, we have spent thousands of dollars on sponsorship opportunities, career development workshops, and membership meetings of professional diversity groups. Organizations
we've been involved with include: IEEE, NSBE, SWE, SHPE, CUTC, and many more.
If you would like to request sponsorship for a university or college function or organizations, and believe that it is aligned with University Relations' goals and objectives,
please download the application form below. Email the application and any related documents to student@nortel.com.
NOTE: In the subject heading, please follow the format of "Sponsorship - Name of University or College - Title of Event / Conference / Group".

Once you have completed the form, please email the application and any related documents to student@nortel.com.

We will contact you within 5 business days after receiving your application, letting you know if you met our minimum sponsorship criteria. If your conference, event, or group
meets the minimum requirement, we will further evaluate your sponsorship request and work with you to decide the appropriate level of involvement from Nortel.
Be aware that we are unable to sponsor any of the following:
- Individuals requesting sponsorship for themselves
- Political organizations or fundraising events
- Any high-risk or extreme sports activities
- Any events or activities where there is no clear business benefit for Nortel from a University Relations / Recruiting perspective
