How can you get experience that will give you an edge in the job market after graduating?
Nortel offers several student programs that allow you to enhance your academic achievements with real world work experience. These programs give you the opportunity to apply your knowledge in an innovative and collaborative atmosphere while learning from some of the brightest professionals in the industry.
Student placements are available in technical and business fields. Students can gain experience in areas such as software and hardware design & development, testing and verification, IT, business systems, customer care, human resources, finance and marketing.

Short term full-time placements, student must be registered in a co-op or work study program at their university |
| Internships |
Longer term full-time placements, students must be registered in an internship program at their university |
| Stage long (France Only) |
5-8 month full time placements students must complete to conclude their degree |
| INROADS |
INROADS develops and places talented, under-represented minority youth with major corporations for full time placements occurring during the summer. Click here* for more details. |
| Summer Employment Experience (North America Only) |
Summer work term for university or college students who are not enrolled in a coop or internship program at their university/college. This program also refers to summer "intern" placements in the U.S. |
| Other Student Programs |
Nortel may offer full time or part time placements year round or as summer employment for students who are not registered in a formal work study program at their high school/college/university. In addition we may have placements associated with other school programs such as the Sandwish year in Europe and the Alternance in France. |
