Tell me about yourself and your experience at Nortel?
In the role I hold I provide contractual and commercial advice, undertake responses and discussions with Customers to secure new Customer business and expansion of existing business in order to achieve Nortel order, revenue and margin targets.

What are your career aspirations?
Eventually I would like to be provided with the responsibilities of a Director of Contracts within Nortel. An assignment overseas in one of the many territories that Nortel operates within would also of great interest to me.

Can you describe your relationship with Management?
On a professional level my manager is very cooperative and supportive. My immediate manager allows me to make my own decisions but is always there if I need advice. All levels of management are very accessible.

How do you compare Nortel to other companies or former employer(s)?
Nortel is a dynamic company and gives its employees the motivation and authority to undertake their role in the best and most productive way possible. Compared to my previous companies within the telecoms sector Nortel most certainly gives more authority to its employee to perform their function, always provided that you stay within the company guidelines.

How would you describe the working environment at Nortel?
The ambience of the company is relaxed but very focused on what we are all trying to achieve. The use of technology within the company to communicate both within the office environment and whilst teleworking to fellow employees and customers across the world is really excellent.
