The company's sales and marketing departments are located in the GS Tower building in Kangnam-gu, Seoul and its R&D center is in Anyang, Geonggi province. The total number of company employees is approximately 1,400.

October 2005: SK Telecom, Korea's largest mobile communication provider, selected LGE and Nortel to provide UMTS / HSDPA wireless broadband technology throughout South Korea. The SK Telecom win marked a significant milestone in the lead-up to the establishment of the LG-Nortel joint venture.

September 2005: KTF selected LGE and Nortel as primary vendors for its new ultra high-speed broadband wireless communication service spanning Korea's major metropolitan areas including Seoul. This is the first collaborative win for LGE and Nortel since the announcement of plans for the LG-Nortel joint venture in August 2005.

August 2005: LGE and Nortel signed a definitive agreement to establish a joint venture for telecommunications networking solutions.
