Product Design Quality
In support of the Nortel Quality Management System, we have developed and implemented a life cycle management model for product design and testing. This model incorporates best practices from various Nortel design organizations, and demonstrates our commitment to design and deliver hardware and software products/solutions with high quality and reliability. We have enhanced our cross product line and solution testing capabilities to ensure seamless interoperability of all Nortel products. A closer collaboration between the product development and customer service organizations results in faster engagement and resolution if problems arise.
As part of Nortel's
Quality Management System, we track and continually improve our design quality with the use of a web-based scorecard that provides end-to-end quality metrics for all Nortel products. This scorecard is generated and distributed monthly throughout Nortel to focus on the quality of our design (product inception through general availability), delivery (production, delivery and Installation) and service (post in-service performance and support).
