Overview

• Learn how easy it would be to change your existing configurations to a Nortel product solution. Simply load in your existing configuration file, apply the included rulesets and templates, and the Configuration Converter will help generate a Nortel product configuration.
• Add and modify rules to the converter to parse and build different kinds of subconfigurations.
• Easily share rule sets with other users to help build a more comprehensive tool.

This tool was developed by Nortel IT to help a customer, and is now being made available to you.

December 2008 - Nortel Configuration Converter version 1.1 is released. Along with Cisco CatOS configs, this new version now works with IOS configurations and other vendor configurations like JUNOS. This release of the tool also contains rulesets and templates to convert Nortel BayRS to Secure Router 4134 configurations.

October 2008 - Nortel Configuration Converter version 1.0 works with source configurations from CatOS "set" configurations, and helps generates Enterprise Routing Switch 5500 family configurations. Version 1.0 of the tool is released for Windows operating systems that support Java applications. Java version 1.6 or higher is required to run this tool.
