As part of the software release 5.0 offers dynamic new UC features like InTouch, which competitively delivers true federated presence. With InTouch users can easily communicate with anyone in their personal directories with popular integrated communications applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Nortel BCM, MSN, and Skype for click-to-call, click-to-IM, and click-to-email.

Building on the recent release of software (Rls 6.0) - Nortel is pleased to announce the addition of numerous new capabilities that strengthen the UC and SIP, values and capabilities, of CS 1K. The new solutions include an IM and Presence Messaging Application that improves communications and productivity, enhancements to MC 3100 (Rls 3.0) that deliver improved user experience (updated Nokia client, faster call delivery) and greater cost saving opportunities through transparent least cost handling ,and enterprise voice mail enforcement. Another deployment to CS 1000 is the new professional IP 1165e phone that touts high-resolution and graphics, and enhanced ability to personalize the large screen with themes and images.
