Nortel Networks Presents Results of First Comprehensive Study on Caribbean Call Center Market
Nortel Networks*, a global leader in enterprise solutions, will host a group of Caribbean corporate executives at the Hilton Kingston Hotel in Kingston, Jamaica on October 30 to discuss call centers, related customer contact solutions and present a new study entitled “Caribbean Call Center Report 2002.” The report, sponsored by Nortel Networks and conducted by Zagada Markets Inc., is a comprehensive study on the call center market in the Caribbean. The report focuses on challenges and opportunities for potential investors, as well as strategies that can help strengthen the call center industry in the region. “This study provides a clearer picture of the regional market, its dynamics and the current and future needs of our Caribbean customers,” said Roberto Ricossa, marketing director, Enterprise Networks, Nortel Networks Caribbean and Latin America. “Corporate decision makers in the United States are finding much value in the Caribbean in regard to call center capabilities, based in part on the high level of proficiency in the region and its geographic proximity. Consequently, this report also serves as a guide to companies seeking to evaluate the feasibility of outsourcing call center needs to the Caribbean.” Nortel Networks executives will present the company’s market-leading contact center solutions, including the Symposium* Call Center product suite, and the Periphonics* IVR (Interactive Voice Response) portfolio that can help local enterprises leverage opportunities highlighted by the report. Nortel Networks enterprise business strategy – based on the vision of 'One Network. A World of Choice.' - is helping companies evolve their networks to advanced IP architectures to drive profitability, lower operational costs and enhance customer experiences. “In the thirty years we have been doing business in the Caribbean, we have captured more than half of the enterprise market. By sponsoring the ‘Caribbean Call Center Report 2002’ and initiating discussions on the communications issues Caribbean companies face today, we reinforce our commitment to providing our customers in the region with the most advanced solutions, and the technological edge that will help them succeed,” Ricossa said. The call center event will also feature presentations on specific call center opportunities in Jamaica by Telectronics, a global service provider and channel partner of Nortel Networks, and by Jampro. Zagada Chief Executive Officer Philip Peters will be present at the event to discuss details on the report. For more information, contact Ferngene Kook, 954-858-7101, fkook@nortel.com.
