PARIS - Nortel Networks* [NYSE/TSE: NT] unveiled its strategy for speeding time-to-service of and opportunity to profit from third generation (3G) Wireless Internet services. Codenamed "Wings of Light", the strategy will unify the company's Internet Protocol (IP), Optical and Wireless Internet capabilities to redefine the High Performance Internet and help its customers establish first mover advantage in the race to bring profitable Wireless Internet services to market.

Launches New Products For Wireless Internet
In a related announcement, Nortel Networks announced two new products: Nortel Networks e-mobility* Acceleration software and IP mobility solution. E-mobility Acceleration software will enable mobile office applications, such as access to corporate Intranets, e-mail and Web browsing, at speeds up to 25 times greater than other wireless data solutions available today. IP Mobility solution will provide secure, anywhere, anytime Internet or Intranet access, regardless of location, network or device using IP.
