This version removes some additional debugging statements that were added as part of patch ipFT1110A. Both patches also address the following issue: under certain conditions, a BGP peer does not send keepalive messages resulting in the peer dropping once the hold timer expires. The keepalive message was not sent because the keepalive timer was being reset when the update timer expired. Since the keepalive timer is also reset when an update message is sent, it is not necessary to reset it when the update timer expires so this reset is removed by these patches. To correct this, the CP timer has been increased. Q01091575 - With renamed patch .o files on CP s/o all FPs reset if Shelf CpEquipmentProtection = cold If a patch that renames .o files is activated on MSS 15000 with "cold" CP equipment protection, and if a CP switchover is performed after the current view is committed, all FPs will reset causing a complete shelf reset for 3-5 minutes. The only workaround is to set "shelf CpEquipmentProtection = hot" to prevent FPs from resetting after CP switchover. The global forceFastLoad_g is reset to allow hot reset subsequently. Q01278465 - Baseline patches (week 39 & 47) removal causes standby CP to fail and crash 2. Q00953517 - HSM timeout characterization During HSM an FP is allowed 15 minutes to load its software. Prior to the PCR6.1 CR Q00895175 fix the 4pGe and 16pOC3PosAtm FPs would take over 30 minutes due to FPGA programming. These cards were put on an exception list and when they participate in HSM the original timer of 15 minutes would be extended to 45 minutes. After the CR Q00895175 fix it now takes less than 30 minutes for these cards to load during HSM. Solution: The fix would be to remove this exception list and simply allow 30 minutes for all cards regardless of card type. 3. Q00983180 - HSM fails several times with swerr on active CP 4. Q01256694 Q01275351 - Handling 'cancellation of migration SO' message durign HSM During HSM PCS sends a broadcast message to all the applications which have registered for migration switchover. The applications will prepare for migration switchover and reply to this broadcast message with an acknowledgement. When all the applications have acknowledged to the broadcast message the PCS will reset the Service Active CP(SACP) and the Migrating Active CP(MACP) will take up as active and the HSM will be completed. In the present error scenarion, after the PCS has sent the broadcast message to all the applications, the MACP goes down for some reason. But the acknowledgement will still be received by the applications and upon receiving this ack the PCS will reset the SACP. This resulted in a complete shelf outage. 5. Q01306077 - VSP3 card replacing failed When DCS Spool Agent tries to move files from opened to closed directory it observes that a same file exists in both the directories. Hence it SWERRs and shuts down the spooler.
