In this role, Wendt is responsible for Nortel's Global Services business, including financial performance, portfolio development and go-to-market strategies.

Wendt joined Nortel from IBM, where his 25-year career included extensive international experience in services and technology leadership. Wendt's tenure with IBM included stints as vice president, Asia Pacific Information Technology Services Transformation in Shanghai, China and vice president, Integrated Technology Services for Central Europe and Russia. He also held a variety of executive positions internationally with IBM in sales and product management.

Born and educated in Germany, Wendt is based at Nortel's headquarters in Toronto.
