As President, Wireless Networks, Lowe is responsible for managing one of Nortel's largest businesses. The Wireless Networks group includes a portfolio of mobility and converged solutions including CDMA, WiMAX/LTE, with a global customer base. Lowe manages an organization with locations in Dallas and Raleigh in the US; Ottawa and Calgary in Canada; Paris, France; and Beijing, PRC. The CDMA/LTE business was recently sold to Ericsson in a transaction set to close in the fall of 2009.

Lowe joined Bell Northern Research, a subsidiary of Nortel, as a member of its scientific staff in 1980. Since that time, he has had a rich and varied career with over 25 years of service. His career has included assignments at all levels in Nortel, from entry level scientist to business president; across all disciplines from operations to product line management and across the majority of its businesses. Most recently, Lowe ran Nortel's CDMA Mobility business. Prior to that, he led research and development for Nortel's Mobility business. Lowe holds a BSC in Engineering Chemistry and a PhD in Physical Chemistry - both from Queen's University, Canada. He lives in Allen, Texas with his wife Susan and three children. His hobbies include running, gardening and travel.
