François Lançon


François Lançon François Lançon is president, Asia Pacific, Nortel. In this role he is responsible for the overall sales strategy and operations for Nortel in the Asia Pacific region, which includes Japan, India, Australia, New Zealand, ASEAN and Pakistan.

Lançon was most recently the Asia leader for Nortel's Enterprise Business, responsible for defining the strategy, go to market model and growth for the Enterprise segment in the entire Asia region.

Prior to rejoining Nortel in January 2008, Lançon served as Senior Vice President, Product Management and Marketing, for Convergys Corporation, responsible for all Convergys software products. Lançon was also president, Asia Pacific, for Convergys Corporation where he was responsible for the growth and profitability of Convergys' business in the Asia Pacific market.

Lançon previously served as the managing director for Nortel ASEAN, where he was responsible for sales, marketing and profitability. Within Nortel, he also served as vice president, Data Networks Asia Pacific and vice president and general manager, Nortel Japan. He was also the director, Data Networks and Systems Engineering in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region for Bay Networks, where he also held the role of director, Product and Solutions Marketing.

Lançon holds a degree from the Ecole Polytechnique in Paris, France and a degree in Computer Science from the Ecole Supérieure D'Electricité, also in Paris.

He is married with two children and lives in Singapore.
